Casey Hayward had a huge season for the Los Angeles Chargers in 2016. The cornerback reached his first Pro Bowl last year after leading the NFL in interceptions.

So why did the Green Bay Packers let him walk?

That's a question Hayward is still trying to answer because he thought he was one of the best players on the roster.

"I'm like 'Wow. They really think I'm a s--tty player, 'Dang.' I'm glad now I'm a L.A. Charger. I got to show my true talents. Got to travel with No. 1s and show people what I can do. I'm glad I'm not there with those guys. I'm glad I'm here.,'" Hayward says via Tyler Dunne of Bleacher Report. "They didn't offer me at all. I felt like I was the best player at the position when I was there. It kind of was like

"I'm going to come out here each year and try to prove those guys wrong, that they should've signed me.",Authentic Eddie Vanderdoes Jersey, again

The Packers drafted Hayward in the second round in 2012. And he was able to make an immediate impact, recording six interceptions in 16 games. Hayward was named to the PFWA All-Rookie team and he finished third in Defensive Rookie of the Year voting.

After the 2015 season,Womens David Sharpe Jersey, the Chargers signed Hayward to a three-year,Authentic Brian Dawkins Jersey, so they decided to let Hayward go instead of paying for a guy who was not going to start.,Authentic Nelson Agholor Jersey, $15.3 million deal. The Packers are not known for overpaying for free agents

However, re-signing Hayward would have paid dividends for the Packers in 2016 and beyond., with Sam Shields suffering a season-ending concussion in the season opener and Quinten Rollins and Damarious Randall struggling

Elliot Harrison predicts Chargers' Keenan Allen will lead AFC in receptions

NFL Network’s analyst Elliot Harrison had a bold prediction for the 2017 NFL season. He predicted that Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Keenan Allen will lead the AFC in receptions this year, via NFL Network’s Elliott Harrison.

Allen has the talent to do as Harrison suggests but has yet to play a full season as he gets set for year No. 5 in the NFL. In fact, making Harrison’s prediction a bit of a head scratcher., the Chargers wideout has only played nine games in the past two years

When healthy, Allen has averaged 5.8 receptions per game despite a career filled with injuries. If he played an entire season, which would have been good for No. 4 in the AFC last season., he would then be expected to haul in 93 catches

With an improved offensive line and a talented receiving corps around the former Cal Bear,Womens Eddie Vanderdoes Jersey, it is reasonable to believe that he will improve his catch per game average in 2017 should his body finally hold up to the NFL pounding.

3 biggest uncertainties facing Chargers in 2017

The buzz around the Los Angeles Chargers has been flying high this offseason.

Between topics such as the Bolts’ relocation,Authentic David Sharpe Jersey,Authentic Marshawn Lynch Jersey, upgraded coaching staff combined with Chargers general manager Tom Telesco’s formidable draft class has fans as excited about this team than they have been in years.

As such, here is a look at the 3 biggest uncertainties that remain for the Chargers heading into 2017.

Along with the team seeing 21 players wind up on the Injured Reserve (IR) list in 2017, the offensive line’s dismal play was a significant factor in the Bolts’ 5-11 showing last year.

As such, it didn’t come as a surprise when the line was wiped clean of offensive tackle King Dunlap as well as expensive and underperforming guards Orlando Franklin and D.J. Fluker.

To replace their aging veterans, the Chargers front office took to the NFL draft, along with tackle Sam Tevi, loading their line with young talents such as guards Forrest Lamp and Dan Feeney,Authentic Carson Wentz Jersey, to go along with bringing in veteran tackle Russell Okung to anchor the left side.
