Sights,Authentic Amari Cooper Jersey, sounds and notes from Day 3 of Titans training camp
The third day of training camp featured something we haven’t seen through the first two days– pads. Now the fun really begins.
Practices without pads are fine to get a general idea of players’ capabilities, but the pads coming on is when position battles can start.
Tajae Sharpe was the only player inactive at the top of practice again.

The pads coming on adds a dimension that’s impossible to replicate without physically having the gear on. It changes range of motion,Womens Khalil Mack Jersey, and it allows players to get hit.
We saw a lot of work from the receivers catching passes on Sunday. They got to work on their blocking skills Monday.
We projected nose tackle Antwaun Woods would make the team as the team looks for help inside. He made a play on rookie running back Khalfani Muhammad early in the session.
Let’s all take a second to be thankful we’re where we are and not being landed on by 318-pound Antwaun Woods.
Speaking of running backs, this video of Derrick Henry is fun to watch.
This is good vision by Henry after the initial play was stacked up. He stayed patient and got to the outside. That’s the kind of cutback that results in huge plays for the offense.
We hadn’t heard much through the first two days from rookie tight end Jonnu Smith. That changed on Day 3.
except he’s 21-years old, not 32. It took seven years for Walker to become fully utilized in an offense. The Titans know how to effectively use a player like him,Smith is going to be very intriguing this year. He’s essentially a Delanie Walker clone,Womens Bo Jackson Jersey,Womens Howie Long Jersey, and now they have a 21-year-old version of him waiting in the wings. Smith should make a few big plays for Tennessee this year.
An underrated sports sound is the sound of football pads popping against each other. This video from 104.5 The Zone’s Mickey Ryan captures the sound beautifully.
That’s running back David Fluellen on the carry. He did a nice job to get to the edge and turn up field as soon as he had space. He’s in competition with Muhammad for the third running back spot. Fluellen shouldn’t have an issue finding a landing spot if he doesn’t make the Titans roster.
Remember earlier when we took a moment to be thankful we weren’t being landed on by Antwaun Woods? Let’s also take a moment to be thankful we aren’t this tackling bag.
This drill looks like fun. Jim Wyatt of Titans Online narrates what’s going on here,Authentic Khalil Mack Jersey,Authentic Derek Carr Jersey, but the gist of it is that Muhammad is trying get past Henry to put the basketball in the bucket behind him. It didn’t go well for the much smaller Muhammad.
Muhammad and Henry would make a dynamite point guard-power forward combo.
Terry McCormick of Titans Insider had good play-by-play on some passes during one-on-one drills.
Boykins probably isn’t going to make the team,Womens Derek Carr Jersey,Womens Amari Cooper Jersey, and Eric Weems probably isn’t going to play much receiver. There’s a chance Boykins is one of the 10 practice squad players chosen by the Titans if he continues breaking up passes in camp. |
