Jackson held the same position with the Titans from 2016-2017. He was actually drafted by Tennessee in the third round of the 1991 NFL Draft and spent his entire career with the Titans. The defensive back played nine seasons for the organization before retiring after the 1999 season. He finished his career with 13 interceptions and nine sacks.
In 2018,Womens Mackensie Alexander Jersey, but New York should be adding to the position regardless of whether or not he returns., the Jets secondary should see a few changes. Cornerback is a position of need heading into free agency and the 2018 draft. Morris Claiborne is a free agent
a longtime Shanahan assistant,Shanahan’s optimism about the future is tied to his close ties to the offensive coaching staff. The Jets are expected to name Jeremy Bates, who spent three years working for Shanahan in Denver, as their run game coordinator. Jets wide receivers coach Karl Dorrell spent three years working for Shanahan as well., as their offensive coordinator and Rick Dennison
via the New York Daily News. “I’m sure Jeremy and Rick will incorporate some of those points. Rick Dennison is one of the brightest guys you’ll ever meet. Jeremy is the same way. I know Karl DorrelI know quite well too. So,“We were pretty successful in both the running game and the passing game, you got three excellent coaches that I know personally. I think you guys will be very impressed with what your offense looks like this year.”,” Shanahan said
It stings a little extra because the 38-year-old was really starting to roll.
with an unusual chunk coming in the form of goals. That’s been especially true in January,After being limited to 15 points in his first 23 games, with six of his 10 points being goals. Pretty impressive for a guy who sometimes only seemed to score goals from intended assists., Thornton generated 21 in his past 24 contests
Here’s hoping Thornton makes the right choice regarding surgery or just taking time to heal, this is a big blow for the Sharks., but either way
as he will avoid a suspension for boarding Dmitry Kulikov,Authentic Linval Joseph Jersey,The OK news for the Sharks: while Tomas Hertl was ejected from last night’s game,.,Authentic Sam Bradford Jersey, that’s the extent of the damage
the possibility of the Jets cutting Anderson would have been unthinkable. He was their leading receiver in 2017 and developed into their greatest offensive weapon.,A few days ago
for moving on. And they certainly could; Anderson's contract is not a factor (he's owed only $633,But Anderson's embarrassing arrest last week changed things. No one could blame the Jets,Authentic Stefon Diggs Jersey,334 in 2018)., who are trying to build a new culture
in the NFL,Authentic Laquon Treadwell Jersey, players with upside and explosive playmaking potential get multiple opportunities. The Jets will likely give him another chance,However, rather than watch him get it somewhere else.
The Hackenberg experiment is likely reaching its conclusion. The Jets will almost certainly add a competent quarterback for the long-term this offseason,Authentic Mackensie Alexander Jersey, making Hackenberg expendable.
His contract is essentially inconsequential to the Jets making it easy to move on -- well, aside from the bruised pride of admitting that they essentially wasted their 2016 second-round pick on someone who never took a snap.
If Hackenberg doesn't show major signs of improvement during training camp,Authentic Trae Waynes Jersey, he could be gone before Week 1.
and the Jets would save $4.7 million of Carpenter's $6.8 million cap hit next year by cutting the right guard. But Carpenter certainly wasn't the biggest issue on the line this season,It was not a great season for Carpenter or the offensive line, and the Jets have him under contract at a reasonable price. They'll likely keep him.
a Sheldon Richardson reunion,The latest edition of the Jets Mailbag features Gang Green’s meeting with Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield, Vince McMahon’s chances at being the next NFL commissioner and much more.
a dynamic college player trailed by fair questions about his ability to excel at the next level. A little green-and-white birdie told me that Jets were impressed with Mayfield when they met with the Heisman Trophy winner on Thursday morning in Mobile, Ala. It’s a good initial way to learn more about the player. That’s really the value of Senior Bowl week. I don’t put too much stock into the practice performances — especially for quarterbacks working with an unfamiliar set of pass catchers — but I think teams can gain important and valuable information by sitting down and talking with players. The formal interview sessions at the Scouting Combine next month resemble a speed-dating set-up,The Baker Mayfield debate is fascinating. He’s easily the most polarizing high-profile draft prospect, so it’s smart business to get a jump on player interviews in Mobile.
It’s not really about whether Mike Maccagnan will have the guts to draft Mayfield. It’s more about whether the Jets brain trust believes that this player is worth investing a premium pick to be the face of the franchise. There’s a lot more background work that needs to be done. Let’s see how free agency shakes out first too. Either way, Womens Trae Waynes Jersey,I know this: The Jets will be extremely thorough with how to proceed to fill their most important need.
which matters. He didn’t get home nearly enough as anyone would like (one sack), but Seattle wants to re-sign the impending free agent. Richardson wants to test the market to gauge his true value. He also still has a soft spot for the Jets,It would be quite the coup if Maccagnan brought Richardson back seven months after trading him to Seattle for a second-round pick (and Jermaine Kearse). The Seahawks were pleased with Richardson’s ability to disrupt the quarterback even if his statistics didn’t jump off the page. He got signal callers off their spot, who would welcome him back if the finances make sense,Womens Linval Joseph Jersey, as I reported earlier this season.
First and foremost, the Jets could have a fun and highly effective offense. Of course,Womens Sam Bradford Jersey, but NFL insiders know that this guy is a creative schemer. It didn’t take long for people on One Jets Drive to realize that Bates was their best offensive mind. He was involved in the weekly game-planning last season. If he gets the requisite pieces this offseason, however, should be to go after (likely) free agent Kirk Cousins,Womens Stefon Diggs Jersey, Bates is a brilliant offensive mind. He might have fallen off the radar during his four-year hiatus from football, it all starts with the quarterback. All of the usual signal caller suspects in the draft would benefit from his tutelage. The top option, who would thrive in the Jets scheme. If the Jets don’t ultimately land Cousins or a plug-and-play veteran difference-maker in free agency,Womens Laquon Treadwell Jersey, Gang Green will draft a quarterback in the first round .
The Jets’ interest in former Lions quarterbacks coach Brian Callahan came to light this week, but folks on One Jets Drive believe that he’ll land in Tennessee or elsewhere. Don’t rule out the possibility that Bates would handle the play-calling and quarterback coach responsibilities with help from his assistant quarterbacks coach.
