49ers LB competition,NaVorro Bowman weighs in on Reuben Foster

and so far it seems like Bowman likes what he's seen in the talented rookie.,49ers linebacker Reuben Foster has a terrific mentor to learn from this season in four-time All-Pro NaVorro Bowman

saying he thinks Foster has what it takes to be a success in the NFL.,Bowman talked a bit about Foster Thursday

" Bowman said. "We've had a chance to work out together several times and he's excited to be around me. I think that's the first step into building a relationship the way that we're trying to get to. We've seen what he's done in college. We just want to transfer it here to the NFL. He's open ears, he understands the game, open to learning new things. That's what we're going to need to get to that point,"I think so. I think from what I've seen, so I really do think he'll have a successful career."

of course,There's still some things for Foster to learn, especially given that his participation in the spring was limited while he recovered from offseason shoulder surgery. But Bowman says Foster has the ability to make the adjustments needed to make an early impact.

"He plays the linebacker position right,Womens Amara Darboh Jersey," Bowman said. "I just want him to understand this game is more angle-like in the NFL. Guys can cut faster and do a lot more things. You just have to transfer that understanding to the NFL level. He wouldn't be here or gotten drafted the way he did if we didn't believe he could do those things. He's definitely a linebacker and understands the game as much as he needs to to be successful."

now that he's been given the all clear in terms of health,Authentic Mike Alstott Jersey,The big question with Foster, is whether or not he'll be able to push veteran Malcolm Smith for a starting spot at weak-side linebacker. Bowman says Smith is ahead of foster at the moment but that it doesn't necessarily mean Foster should be counted out.

" Bowman said. "He understands the game,Authentic Jameis Winston Jersey,"Malcolm's got a head start and he's been playing for a while now,Womens Doug Martin Jersey, and I think that's the reason were were able to click out there during minicamp because he understood what was coming and we were able to talk about a few things as it was going on. But our room is very tight-knit. We're all about getting a solution out of any problem that we come up with as a group. We let the coaches really decide and handle the rotation and things like that. Malcolm's definitely a good player and understands the game as well."
