The Oakland Raiders are set to announce Jon Gruden as their next head coach on Tuesday at a press conference, but apparently, that won't be the only news that gets finalized.

After the Buccaneers’ Super Bowl victory,Womens Robert Woods Jersey, Gruden did not win another playoff game in his remaining six seasons with Tampa Bay. He has a 95-81 career record.

Though the Raiders appeared to single-mindedly pursue Gruden as Del Rio’s replacement, the N.F.L. spokesman Joe Lockhart said the team had satisfied the “Rooney rule” by interviewing minority candidates for the job.

Other teams have also done it,Womens Connor Barwin Jersey, one of the most notable examples being Joe Gibbs in Washington. Gibbs stepped away after the 1992 season with three Super Bowl titles in his career. He came back in 2004 and had a 30-34 record in four seasons, leading Washington to two playoff berths.

The Raiders announced signings of nine players to reserve/future contracts Tuesday, eight of whom ended the season on Oakland’s practice squad.

is a long-snapper entering unrestricted free agency. Now Oakland will have a long-snapper in offseason workouts in case the team doesn’t bring Condo back.,The lone player signed who didn’t finish the season with the team is Bradley Northnagel,Womens Andrew Whitworth Jersey, a long-snapper from Cal. Jon Condo, the longest-tenured Raider on the active roster

Northnagel played in 29 games for the Bears from 2012-16, starting at long-snapper in 2015 and 2016. He moved to long-snapper from the offensive and defensive line, as well as fullback.

Jon Gruden's seemingly imminent hiring as head coach of the Oakland Raiders is great news for quarterback Derek Carr, according to Rich Gannon.

Gannon played under Jon Gruden as a member of the Oakland Raiders for three seasons from 1998 to 2001,Womens Tyrunn Walker Jersey, winning the MVP award the season after his departure, in which Gruden's Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Raiders in Super Bowl XXXVII.

Gannon believes Gruden can coach Carr to similar results.,With Gruden looking certain for a second stint with the Raiders

Carr endured a disappointing 2017 campaign as the Raiders went 6-10, throwing for 3,496 yards with 22 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

" Gannon told The Mercury News.,Authentic Ethan Westbrooks Jersey,"I think [Carr] should be thrilled that he's gonna get an opportunity to work with what I think is the best person in the business when it comes to calling plays and preparing a quarterback to play that position

"I'm really excited for him and I hope he'll take advantage of the opportunity and embrace it."

Yet there is plenty for McKenzie to contribute, particularly with the scouting combine coming up in late February and free agency in March. His staff has already begun work on players that could become available, Authentic Connor Barwin Jersey, and Gruden arrives after a decade-long absence from day-to-day operations of an NFL team.

For now, at least, the best thing for the Raiders is having Gruden and McKenzie on the same team.

Barring an incredible, unforeseen reversal,Authentic Kayvon Webster Jersey, Jon Gruden is going to succeed Jack Del Rio as the head coach of the Oakland Raiders.

Seemingly every gossiping coach in America is aware of the Raiders’ imminent hire, Gruden has done nothing to contradict the Grumors in conversations with the Bay Area News Group, ESPN, and Gruden’s current employer,Authentic Tyrunn Walker Jersey, isn’t even pretending the Monday Night Football announcer isn’t leaving to take over in Oakland.

But before the official announcement is made (Gruden will call Saturday’s playoff game between the Titans and Chiefs, pushing back any formal announcement until next week),Womens Kayvon Webster Jersey, there are some questions that need to be answered:

Gruden could also land an ownership stake in the team,Womens John Sullivan Jersey, per ESPN and NFL Network reports. What percentage of the team (Davis and his mother own 47 percent, structured in such a way as to maintain their controlling interest) is unknown. FootballScoop Tuesday that there wouldn’t be an ownership stake in play for Gruden.

If the ownership stake is in play — I have received no indication that it is, but don’t care to make a statement on the reports’ veracity — that is, obviously,Authentic John Sullivan Jersey, significant.

what does that say about the team’s finances and this hire?,Authentic Andrew Whitworth Jersey,And is an ownership stake a last-ditch pawning for Davis to try to scrounge up enough cash to buy Gruden? If so
