Legion of Boom-type nicknames for Fuller,In short, what is known today as the Alex Smith trade may eventually be known as the Kendall Fuller trade. If people soon are thinking up catchy, don’t be surprised. And don’t be surprised if Smith’s legacy with the Chiefs comes less from his career there than in what he brought back., Marcus Peters and Eric Berry

third-year,The notion that promising, 22-year-old, hard-to-fill position are easy to replace and get tossed around with impunity is usually viewed as blasphemy., already-productive players at a premiere

it may be premature to gush over Fuller like this. But Washington thought enough of him to take him in the third round in 2016,Yes, and then work him into the secondary rotation last year., to ride out major knee surgery in his final college season and his rookie NFL season

He rewarded them for that patience; various evaluations rated him the best slot corner in the league last season. Pretending that those are growing on trees is foolish.
he’s a smaller one than a future draft pick would be. That’s the going rate in the veteran 30-something quarterback trade market.,If Fuller is a question mark

hey,Why did the Redskins include Kendall Fuller in the trade? Because it was the only way the deal was going to get done. It's not like the Redskins said, the Redskins wanted Smith and that was the deal to which the parties agreed. It's that simple.,Womens Jarran Reed Jersey, how about we throw in Fuller? The Chiefs wanted him

Smith was a luxury the Chiefs could not afford. Before the trade,-Some have wondered why a deal had to be made at all. With Patrick Mahomes waiting in the wings to take the starting quarterback job, there was no guarantee that they could have signed him if he had been cut.,Womens C.J. Prosise Jersey, the Chiefs were about $9 million over the cap. Smith had to go and perhaps if the Redskins had waited it out they could have signed Smith for no compensation. But they would have remained in limbo at the position and the Chiefs could have dealt him to another team. In addition

They are in the "good" category

They viewed Smith as more of a short-term fix to bridge the gap until the quarterback they plan to take in this year's draft is ready. But Smith was not interested in that role

-Another reason why the Redskins had to make this trade was due to their unwillingness to face the strong possibility that Cousins was not going to sign a long-term deal. They should have known this since they put the franchise tag on him prior to the 2016 season. The only backup plan they came up with was 2016 sixth-round pick Nate , you could argue that they should have started to plan for the future in 2014 when the future of Robert Griffin III started to turn cloudy. But they didn't look to draft any insurance and they paid the price for being in a position of desperation., who didn't impress anyone enough to earn a second season. The smart way to handle the situation would have been to spend a mid-round pick on a quarterback to develop. Had they done that they might not have been such a desperate situation with only Colt McCoy under contract. In fact

the Chiefs made a bold statement that they’re ready for Mahomes,Womens Frank Clark Jersey,The Chiefs agreed to trade veteran quarterback Alex Smith to the Washington Redskins late Monday, a deal that will become official with the start of the new league year on March 14. Prosise Jersey, when the Chiefs were already assured of the AFC West title and the No. 4 seed in the playoffs

For all the angst he caused fans by going 1-4 in the playoffs, setting a slew of franchise records in the process., Womens Nick Vannett Jersey,Smith succeeded in stabilizing a franchise that had been turning over quarterbacks for years. He went 50-26 as a starter and made a couple of Pro Bowl appearances

“Can’t say enough about the type of friend and teammate Alex Smith has been since getting to Kansas City, adding “the Sherman family will miss the Smith family.”,Authentic Frank Clark Jerseyy,” Chiefs fullback Anthony Sherman said

Yet the Chiefs knew they were going to move on from Smith in part because of the hefty price tag that came with the final year of his contract. And his strong performance last season made Smith a hot commodity with at least five teams along with the Redskins.

Kansas City now has a pick in the second round and two in the third, which could be used to address other pressing issues on defense., along with selections in the later rounds

500 against the salary cap in 2018 and $750,Authentic Jarran Reed Jersey,He’s also a bargain. Fuller will count $647, giving the Chiefs a starting-caliber cornerback at a discount rate.,000 the next season
