If you’re a Jets fan and you noticed a small ray of hope flashing before your eyes in the past few days, it came from a sliver of a fissure in the bow of the Good Ship Patriots.

If you’re a Jets fan — or a fan of any of the other two teams, which the Patriots have owned for the balance of this century — you had to crack at least a small smile as you watched this public mess New England offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels created in spurning the Colts just hours before he was scheduled to be announced as their head coach.

If you’re a Jets fan and you’re tired of being bullied by the Patriots, you’re seeing at least the beginning of the end of their dominance in the aftermath of their 41-33 Super Bowl LII loss to the Eagles on Sunday.

The Patriots’ time at the top is naturally nearing an end based on some obvious factors — Bill Belichick will be 66 next season, Tom Brady will be 41 and defensive coordinator Matt Patricia has left for the Lions.

But, in a bigger-picture look, indeed, McDaniels’ choice to blow off Indianapolis and stay in New England might end up being a blessing if he is, staying there to eventually take over for Belichick.

Because, so are the Jets that he remains in the division and takes over for Belichick.,Authentic Fletcher Cox Jersey, for all the same reasons the Colts — once they wipe the egg off their faces that McDaniels left them with — are better off without McDaniels

Here’s an undeniable fact about McDaniels: The only coaching success he’s had in the NFL has come with Belichick as his boss and Brady as his quarterback.

The one time McDaniels ventured out on his own — when he was hired by the Broncos in 2009 to be their head coach — he fell flat on his face, going 5-17 after a 6-0 start in his first year before being fired with four games remaining in his second season in Denver.

McDaniels’ short tenure in Denver was defined not only by too many losses,Authentic Torrey Smith Jersey, petulance and alienating a number of his top players., but by his insistence on drafting Tim Tebow in the first round — as well as episodes of arrogance

The Rams finished 2-14 that year,Authentic Timmy Jernigan Jersey, and Belichick threw McDaniels a lifeline — bringing him back as his offensive coordinator when Bill O’Brien left to become head coach at Penn State.

Six years later with Belichick and Brady, McDaniels having repaired his reputation riding the coattails of his Hall of Fame-bound head coach and quarterback., here we are

If anything,Authentic Ronald Darby Jersey, McDaniels’ indecision about the Colts job, are at least some proof that he hasn’t grown up as much as he says he has since his debacle in Denver., and the inexcusable way he handled it

Even though Assemblyman Jay Webber is the only major Republican to declare candidacy,Authentic Jalen Mills Jersey, Barlas expects it to be a crowded Republican primary.

“I had a conversation with him. He’s intrigued by the idea. He has to think it over and talk with his wife, he’s enjoying being at home with his wife and kids.”,Authentic Brandon Graham Jersey,” Barlas said. “After an 11-year playing career and a college career

Mangold is a registered Republican and has voted in three of the last five primaries and six of the last seven general elections.

“He’s a different candidate,” Barlas said. “He gives a different name ID.”

Frelinghuysen announced in late January that he would not be seeking re-election come November. The news from the House Appropriations Committee Chairman marked the eighth House committee chairman to step down ahead of the 2018 elections.

If Mangold were to run and win, he would not be the first professional football player to earn a House seat for New Jersey. Former Eagles offensive tackle Jon Runyan ran for Congress in 2010 and served two terms in the New Jersey's 3rd Congressional District before retiring.

Malcolm Butler cannot possibly be happy about being benched in the Super Bowl LII, and all signs are pointing toward him bolting in a New York second once free agency begins.

So where could he end up?

Well, New York Daily News Columnist Manish Mehta has one suggestion: How about the Jets?

While the New York Jets likely will be looking for a little defensive back help this offseason, it’s not for that reason Butler should sign, it would be sticking it to New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick for benching him in the biggest game of the season., according to Mehta. Instead

“What better way for Butler to exact revenge for his inexplicable Super Bowl benching than by sticking it to Bill Belichick twice a year as a member of the team that the Hoodie despises? It would be perfect,” Mehta wrote.

“Oh, and it just so happens that Gang Green is looking to add two starting cornerbacks this offseason. The Jets would love to sign Mo Claiborne and add another piece in the secondary (via free agency or draft). Truth be told, Buster Skrine would be the ideal slot corner for them.”, the master plan would be to add a true No. 1 cornerback alongside Claiborne. Finances aside

Mehta then wraps up his point by saying:

“There are a few quality free-agent corners on the market. Will the Jets have interest in Butler?

“Come on. We all know the answer to that.”

It certainly isn’t impossible that Butler would end up with the Jets, so never say never., but spite is a pretty ridiculous reason to sign a contract. Sports are wild though

Also, we’re thinking spite may not be his top consideration when it comes to inking a new deal., given Butler likely will be looking to get paid a fair amount this offseason

On Thursday, it was announced that the Jets had signed defensive back Kacy Rodgers II,Womens Brian Winters Jersey, out of the CFL. After attending a rookie minicamp with the Kansas City Chiefs coming out of college, the son of their coordinator,Womens Fletcher Cox Jersey, the former Miami Hurricane has spent the past two seasons playing for the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

In his brief time in Saskatchewan, one interception and a sack. The Roughriders released Rodgers before his contract was set to expire on Feb. 13 so he could pursue NFL opportunities.,Womens Torrey Smith Jersey, Rodgers had three forced fumbles

Rodgers was a two-year starter at Miami before heading to the CFL, as he decided to play his college ball in the town his father worked. From 2008-2014,Only 25,Womens Timmy Jernigan Jersey, Rodgers was the defensive line coach for the Dolphins before becoming the defensive coordinator for Todd Bowles in New York.

New York Jets wide receiver Robby Anderson was a bright spot on offense last season, recording 63 catches for 941 yards and seven touchdowns.

Anderson has made the news for all of the wrong reasons. A new report reveals that Anderson has been charged on 10 separate occasions for traffic-related violations,Womens Ronald Darby Jersey,But most recently, according to ESPN’s Rich Cimini.

the 10 separate violations stem back to 2014. Per Cimini, Anderson has received five speeding tickets,Womens Jalen Mills Jersey,According to Florida court records from both Broward and Orange counties, including two in 15 days last spring.

2017. In these incidents, Anderson was cited for not wearing a seat belt and speeding 40 miles-per-hour over the limit,Some of Anderson’s violations include misdemeanor charges stemming from resisting arrest and reckless driving. He was also pulled over two times in one day on March 29, per the report.

Anderson was charged with allegedly resisting arrest with violence at a music festival. That carries a felony charge and the case is pending,Then last May, per Cimini.

Anderson’s most recent arrest made headlines on Jan. 19 when he was charged on nine separate accounts. The severest account of that day was a second-degree felony charge for allegedly threatening a family member of a public servant

Anderson has since pleaded not guilty to the nine criminal account accounts, which include three felony charges.

At only 24-years-old, this is quite the laundry list of violations.

Anderson’s January arrest could result in some form of league suspension. Per the report, head coach Todd Bowles has yet to weigh in on Anderson’s standing with the team. Anderson displayed promising talent on the field last year and he is clearly the Jets’ current best option at receiver.

It should be interesting to see if the Jets decide to keep him around. Or, perhaps they wash their hands of a player prone to attracting trouble.
