By all accounts,

Derek Wolfe Jersey, but only Yannick Ngakoue was drafted below him among

those players (by a paltry two spots) and none of them played defensive tackle,

Authentic Barry Sanders Jersey, a far harder position to rush from. Even though under

tackle is the friendlier of the two tackle spots,

Authentic Ziggy Ansah Jersey, Maliek Collins had a successful rookie season. Collins

finished seventh among rookies in sacks last season, Dallas had to be thrilled that

their third-round pick produced five sacks.

But Collins isn't taking his production for granted. He's trying to improve. Here's

what he said to Drew Davison of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram:

“Nothing is promised,” Collins said. “I’m going to keep competing as if I was

at the bottom of the roster. I feel like I am in the bottom. I’m doing things

every day to make sure I’m the best. That’s the nature of the game. You’ve got

to be a competitor.”

So, how is he going about that improvement? By studying some of the best under

tackles of all time.

It starts with Hall of Famer Warren Sapp in Tampa, who had Pro Bowl years in

Chicago. He’s also watched Anthony “Booger” McFarland,

Authentic Derek

Wolfe Jersey,Authentic Justin Simmons Jersey, as well as guys such as Tommie Harris

and Henry Melton,Justin Simmons Jersey,

Barry Sanders Jersey,Ziggy Ansah Jersey, who won Super Bowls with Tampa Bay

(2002) and Indianapolis (2006).

The Cowboys are gearing up for a run at Super Bowl 52! Don't miss any breaking

news,Authentic Matthew Stafford Jersey

Sapp is one of the standards against which under tackles are judged. He was the

centerpiece of a Super Bowl-winning defense in Tampa Bay and was voted into the

Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility. Sapp's tape could turn Collins into

an even more fearsome pass-rusher than he is now,

Matthew Stafford Jersey, but the most important player he's studying might be Sapp's teammate

Booger McFarland.

but McFarland was no less important. Collins thrived as a pass-rusher last

year,McFarland was the nose tackle eating up blockers next to Sapp so that he could

get after the quarterback. Sapp got the accolades, but needs to improve against the

run to become a true three-down player.

Sapp was a Defensive Player of the Year for Rod Marinelli, Collins could certainly

pick up a few tricks from the Tampa Bay legend add pad his sack total a bit. If

things break right, and while that might be a bit ambitious, he might even approach

double digits.
